Length: 13 Weeks
Weekend rotation: Travelers could be scheduled for up to 4 out of the 6 weekends, which include Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Requirements:
- SD License
- 1 year of nursing experience
- 1st time traveler must have EPIC experience
- Previous experience with our types of patients above, including IMC/stepdown and neuro
- Ability to read/interpret cardiac strips, wound care, line management, drain/tube management, drip titration of below medications
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Epic - strongly preferred
Other details:- Will accept a first-time traveler if greater than 1 year of experience
- Travelers must live 100 miles away from any facility
- Patient Types: This is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg - please ensure traveler understands
Pre/post-surgical patients, CVA, seizures, cellulitis, influenza, UTIs, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, renal failure with or without the need for hemodialysis, hepatic failure, gastrointestinal disorders and infections, soft tissue injury and minor fractures, and DVTs. Medication administration, titratable vasoactive drips, TPN/tube feeding, and blood product transfusions
Peripheral IV, Midline, PICC and central line access, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, drains, and urinary and fecal collection devices
Wound care, telemetry monitored patients
Post neuro-intervention (preferred experience but education and resources are provided per unit if they have not had this patient type) - Floating: Any Adult Inpatient Unit - Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, Observation

Please note that all pay rates are estimates. Weekly gross pay is based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
