Experience:

12 months of role experience is required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a license prior to placement start.

Candidates must live at least 160 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

Flu vaccination required to apply. Medical declinations accepted.

Candidates with a permanent Maine Address are NOT eligible for assignment at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Competent in EP or IR is a plus

Trained in Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR)

Rotate roles within the room among trained staff RN administers and monitors sedation; RTR manages x-ray in conjunction with MD; scrub and hemo monitoring can be done by RN or RTR

After-hours call assignments are usually one night per week & about every 4-6 weekends. Comes out to 4-5 nights per 4-week schedule

Prefer candidates with ability to do at least two roles: could by CL & scrub or monitor, or circulate only in both CL & IR

CL: all typical interventional cath lab patients (diagnostic, PCI, rotational atherectomy, shockwave, IABP, Impella, etc.) - Structural heart usually handled by a limited group of CL staff
